The Best Digital SLR Camera
If you want a camera with jaw dropping image quality, then this is the camera for you. It comes at a steep price, but you get a full frame sensor that packs in 24 and a half million pixels for enormous prints with amazing detail. The images that this camera can produce, even at high ISO, are nothing short of stunning. The only Nikon camera that is in the same league as the D3x is the Nikon D3S, which is able to take more frames per second for high speed sports and shoot at extreme ISOs, but there is a substantial hit in image sharpness on very large prints. The D3s will save you a fair amount of money, so if you need extreme speeds or want to shoot in extremely low light, then you may want to go that route. What the D3x offers is unbelievable image quality.

Canon produces the EOS 1D Mark IV, which is also an unbelievable camera. Purchasers take a hit in the sensor size and resolution, but the Mark IV does offer increases in ISO settings, increased fps, and the ability to shoot full high definition video.
For Canon fans this is of course better than the Nikon and vice versa. Both are unbelievable cameras at unbelievable prices.
