The Best Budget Friendly Tripod Legs

Manfrotto 190XDB Tripod

The 190XDB is a well priced, semi-pro set of legs that will last a long time. They have a sturdy aluminum build so they are not the lightest ones out there, but they do have nice stability. Over 11 lbs is listed as the maximum capacity, which is plenty for SLRs with all but the most heavy of lenses.

The 190XDB's 3 legs are able to move independently of one another, which is great for uneven surfaces. They are also able to lock in at a variety of angles for increased stability and low shots.

The maximum height is a little shy of 60 inches, so if you are looking to get a bit more height you may want to go with the Manfrotto 055XProB, which has a height of around 70 inches and a bit more weight capacity. The biggest differences between the 190XDB and the more expensive 190XProB and 055XProB is that the leg locks use a screw type lock, which is not a quick to setup and the lack of a horizontal position for the center column. If you are on a budget or do not care about these features then this is a nice tripod at a reasonable price and that is why it is the best budget friendly set of tripod legs.
